More About Me

My name is Allison and I am on my way to becoming an international volunteer, student, employee, intern, travel writer, explorer, and anything else I have the opportunity to become! Most of all, though, I hope to become (and always remain) a global learner. Someone very important to me often told me that travel is the best education you can give yourself. Though I already strongly suspect this is true, I plan to spend my life finding out for myself!

I grew up on a farm in what I like to call “the middle of nowhere” Ontario, and have developed a growing passion for adventure and travel in recent years. I have a strong desire to see the world and to experience different cultures and ways of life.

After graduating from university, I set off on my first solo adventure to volunteer in Guyana, South America for three months. The things I saw, people I met, and experiences I gained on this journey left me itching to do it all over again, somewhere else!

With so much of the world left to see and so many ways to see it, I have no idea where my path will lead from here, but that is part of the adventure! When I determine the next “where” and “what,” you will be the first to know, as I plan to document it all right here.

Adventure Awaits!

It is very nice to know about your endeavor that started here in my home land, however I must say thanks to you for promoting my land in a positive way and would like to say thank you on behalf of all Guyanese.
